We are living in an excess of materialism.
Nothing wrong with the material world. Excess = more than serves us.
It appears that American culture is that of a hoarder.
As hoarders, we have

* an overwhelming mess - seems impossible to clean up
* our addictive behaviors are reinforcing the mess
* we can't see the problem - so we try to sweep it under the rug
* the mess matches our feat that there's something wrong with us .... shame
* this secret keeps us from sharing our deepest feelings - even with ourselves
* the neighbors know we're in trouble - it's really no secret, but we hope it is.

This is not an isolated problem - it's en masse.
Hoarding is not just a physical issue - it's deeper than that. Metaphysical.
Deeper than logic - psychological. It's toxic - poisonous.  It invades all levels of who we are.
It's an upside down look at Interdependence.
It's the tragedy of a paradigm that just.won't.die. until we start cleaning up.
Like a bad dream, we're running from something & we can't see where we're going.
We don't know what we need or don't need at this point.
We are hoarders when all the trappings of Yesterthink are a floor that can no longer support us.
We are stuck in a shared mindset that is actually hurting us.

We don't have to blow up the house / the business. We don't have to move to Mars.

There is medicine in the poison - and the poison is not separate from the medicine.
It needs our attention - a long term investment.
An agreement to walk from the Old Ways into New Life - alone / together.

I believe it's workable; worthy of our time.
I believe that underneath it all lies what we are looking for - that we can recover our valuables.
The mess is a result of the past Glory & Pain & that our struggling can allow us to come out & SEE in new, innovative ways. We can align the world with our changed minds.
The world responds to us.  That is the proper flow - *TruthFlow*
